You can download this free punctuation challenge (the link is below if you are registered and logged in).

This challenge is taken from Unit 1: Module 1 which includes further writing challenges to help children understand the use of capital letters and full stops (periods) to mark the beginning and end of a sentence.

This free download includes one Unpunctuated challenge on a writing sheet and also on an editable Powerpoint slide. A Sentence Check sheet is also included and this can be used by children for their other writing to self-check and peer-check that they are using capital letters and full stops to demarcate their sentences.

The full version includes more challenges along with guidance notes for teachers.

A complete set of punctuation challenges along with step-by-step guidance covering the requirements for the Year 1 curriculum is available here.
